Both Cath & Rich have invested years of study to ensure an extremely high level of quality. Cath has studied three years full time completing a Bachelor of Photography. Rich has studied five years achieving a Masters degree in the area of Fine Arts, specifically painting and photography. As a result we provide for you a very high level of technical ability as well as an artistic sensibility. Both Cath and Rich have also been heavily involved in the photographic industry with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, and Rich is currently president of the Qld division. Cath & Rich bring a wealth of experience. With a combined 30 years photographing weddings professionally, we can ensure your wedding photography will be perfect, exceeding all expectations. There are not many wedding photographers who can answer the question: what were you doing before photographing weddings? With the answer: Nothing! Cath has been photographing weddings professionally since she was 18 years old, and has specialised in wedding photography ever since. At Vivid Photography, with over a million frames taken at weddings, there can be no substitute for experience. This experience has equipped Cath & Rich with all it takes to handle the gamut of demanding situations that can arise on a wedding day. It takes a wealth of experience to ensure the day runs smoothly, as well as guarantee your wedding images will also be of exceptional standard. We at Vivid provide two professional photographers on your wedding day, as we believe you can’t be in two places at one time and there are too many special moments to miss. This we have learnt from experience. Our knowledge and experience also assists in ensuring your day runs without confusion. We leave nothing to chance. This is why we invest thousands of dollars in only the best photographic equipment and computer hardware. The camera kit we bring with us on your wedding day consists of at least three camera bodies and five lenses. When we arrive at your wedding we have over thirty thousand dollars worth of camera equipment with us to ensure the highest quality and reliability. Once your wedding images are backed up safely through our highly advanced system, we begin to process the files. Both experienced experts in Photoshop, Cath & Rich spend days refining your images in order to present a perfect collection of images of your wedding day. The perfect colour and density are just two elements that separate our high standards from other photographers, so your images are perfected even at the proofing stage. Our finished wedding art prints have earned many accolades including a highly coveted Gold Award at the AIPP Australian Professional Photography Awards. By the time you return from your honeymoon, your images are ready for viewing and a pre-plan of your wedding album has been created. Cath won the 2003 AIPP Qld Wedding Album of the Year award and Rich won the same award in 2007, so you can be assured your wedding album design has been created from a wealth of album design experience. At Vivid photography we also avoid the use of templates and always design your wedding album with you in mind, thus creating a lasting memory of your wedding day unlike any other in existence. We are able to do this by concentrating on photographing and creating albums for only 30–40 clients a year.
